Tasters Guild International, a Wine and Food Appreciation Society based in Grand Rapids, Michigan with administrative offices in Washington D.C., has announced the results of its Twenty-Sixth Annual International Wine Judging held at the Secchia Institute for Culinary Education in Grand Rapids.

Thirty experienced judges from around the country completed over 2,000 evaluations of wine from 10 countries and 27 states/provinces on May 1-4, 2013. The judging panels were comprised of a carefully selected mix of retailers, winemakers, wine writers, restaurateurs, wine educators and experienced consumers.

We are pleased to announce that both Torrey Ridge Winery and Earle Estates Meadery were awarded medals. A Double Gold medal was awarded to Torrey Ridge's Blue Sapphire. Gold medals were awarded to Torrey Ridge's Catawba, Lucky, and Niagara wines while Diamond was awarded a silver. Earle Estates' Raspberry Reflections, Apple Enchantment, Blueberry Wine, and Strawberry Wine were awarded silver medals.

TASTERS GUILD is a society of wine and food lovers consisting of over twenty-five chapters that provide active and ongoing wine and food events. In support of these local chapters, there is an extensive network of retail wine/specialty food shops, restaurants, hotels, wineries, importers and distributors who provide easy access to quality wines and food for Tasters Guild members.

We are pleased to announce both Earle Estates Meadery and Torrey Ridge Winery were awarded medals at the 2013 Riverside International Wine Competition. Earle Estates Raspberry Reflection was awarded Gold Medal, Best of Class while Blueberry Wine and Apple Enchantment were awarded Bronze Medals. Torrey Ridge Winery's Catawba and Niagara were awarded Gold Medals, Best of Class while Diamond was awarded a Bronze.

For 30 years, the Riverside International Wine Competition has provided consumers and the wine industry with carefully considered results of a blind tasting by professional wine evaluators. A key benefit of this event is to recognize wines in a wide variety of styles, including wine regions that don't often get such recognition. These wines area a great example of its varietal and its producer.

We are pleased to announce Torrey Ridge Winery was awarded medals at the 2013 Pacific Rim Wine Label Competition. Cous'n Emmy Lou was awarded the prestigious gold medal in the Most Unique Label class while Lucky was awarded a silver.

Earle Estates Meadery was awarded a Gold Medal in the Best Series class for its Blueberry Wine, Apple Enchantment and Strawberry Wine labels.

Held at the National Orange Show Events Center in Southern California, this annual competition has been setting standards for judging of fine wines since 1985. The Competition is a two-day event held in April where we collect thirty wine professional who conduct a blind evaluation of about two thousand wines.

The Label Competition results in Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards in categories of Most Unique Label, Best Label Series, Best Individual Label and Special Recognition for that unique label that stands out.
